The data of Geographic Information System are divided into spatial data and attribute data. when we use Object-oriented approach ,we can process data by object type. Object-oriented approach provides special functions, such as classification、generalization、aggregation、grouping、inheritance and propogation that can be used to handle complicated geographic data.
