碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 商業教育學系 === 87 === The popularity of Internet and the spread of Electronic Commerce urge current enterprises to build Extranet as a business tool that is expected to bring with more business chances for increasing enterprises’ competitive advantage. Nevertheless, the insufficiency of bandwidth and the network safety are the major problems for building Extranet in enterprises in Taiwan. The plan of “Three-Year-Three-Million Internet users” in National Information Infrastructure had been achieved last year (1998). At the same time, the communication of network was seriously clogged up under the insufficiency of bandwidth and too many users. This had negative influence on the efficiency of Extranet and the willingness of enterprises to build Extranet. The application of wide-band network is the future trend, so this study focuses on how to use DirecPC Extranet in enterprises. This study investigates the application and effectiveness of DirecPC Extranet in enterprises and then finds out the future trend and the application level for the reference of enterprises and academic research.
