碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育研究所 === 87 === Quality of Family Life of Children with Developmental Delays Su-Ying Hung Abstract This study investigated qualiy of family life of children with developmental dalays in Chang-Hwa County. One hundred and eight children experiencing developmental delays without any early intervention service were investigated with self-developed questionnaire. The results are summarized as follows: 1.Children who have been confirmed with developmental delays in Chang-Hwa County are far less than estimated. Most of the children with developmental delays are the first child in a family, and the majority of them are males. Parents spend one third of family income for their children per month, and most of the families are in low socio-economic status. 2.Quality of family life of children with developmental delays are merely average. The most important ecological environment group, whereas the least sufficient, is "suporting services for family". Among groups of ecological quality, "suporting services for family" gains the least scores. 3.There are siginificant differences among high, middle and low quality of family life in "overall quality of family life", "correspond", and "importance. According to the results of the study, suggestions are also proposed. Key words: developmental delays, early intervention, quality of family life, family ecological environment.
