In this paper, It divides innovation projects into two types, radical innovation and incremental innovation, and then, to analyze the causal model between the key-success-factors and the project performance under two types of innovation project in different environmental situations. The causal models under four kinds of situation can be described below: 1.Radical innovation under high environmental uncertainty : The performance are indirectly effected by manager competency, top management involvement and project executing proficiency, and directly effected by marketing expertise. 2.Radical innovation under low environmental uncertainty: The performance are indirectly effected by design sensitivity and marketing expertise, and directly effected by project executing proficiency, manager competency and top management involvement. 3.Incremental innovation under high environmental uncertainty: Marketing expertise and design sensitivity effect the performance directly and independently. 4.Incremental innovation under low environmental uncertainty: The performance are indirectly effected by marketing expertise and manager competency, and directly effected by top management involvement.
