The multi-transmitting scheme (MTS) can eliminate the reflection from the computational boundary. This new method can be applied to the analysis of dynamic contact problems in infinite granular medium systems by a finite number of particles in a near zone. The convergence and accuracy criteria as well as a smooth technique for the stability for the multi-transmitting boundary scheme are derived and studied in detail. Several benchmark problems are studied to evaluate the accuracy and capabilities of this newly proposed method in the dynamic analysis of 3D granular medium.
