Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 傳播所 === 87 === The purpose of this study is to develop a performance system for knowledge workers. The system facilitates both knowledge workers management and their managers to evaluate and manage performance more effectly.
This research first reviewed relevant literature on the subjects of knowledge workers, performance management , and intranets. The research followed by interviewing knowledge work as in a magazine publishing environment as a case study . Based on the needs analysis of literature and case study, the function specification of the system were developed. After the system was constructed, the study used user evaluation method to evaluate the system's functional performance.
The most important benefits of the system are : 1.enhancing goals management ; 2.saving manpower and time ; 3. streamlining information exchanging and sharing ; 4. offering integrated information for making human resource decisions.
The main contributions of the study including : 1.developing a new performance management model for knowledge workers ; 2. an intranet system is useful for performance management ; 3.offering suggestions in knowledge workers' management.
