Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 教育研究所 === 87 === The purpose of this study was to understand the phenomenon of the college students'' attribution on failure events and to analyze the influences of students'' sex, age and department on their attribution. To investigate the study, "College Students'' Attribution on Failure Events Inventory" was developed by author in terms of B. Weiner''s attribution theory and adopted as the measurement. The findings were obtained through both qualitative research as well as quantitative research. 716 college students were sampled from 10 universities in Taiwan for quantitative research. Data were analyzed by One-Way Multivariate Analysis of Variance. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The failure events which most college students faced were about school lessons and interpersonal events. 2. Most college students were inclined to attribute their failure to "effort" and "other people''s influences". 3. College students'' attribution were multidimensional. 4. Male and female college students'' attribution differences were statistically significant. 5. There were none statistically significant differences among College students'' attribution who study in different grades 6. There were statistically significant differences among college students'' attribution who major in different departments. Possible explanations for these findings and their implications were discussed.
