by heated fins in a square cavity.
Parmetric studies have been conducted to study the effetcs of Reyleigh number,
the number of fins and the fin length on heat transfer performance in enclosure.
The results indicate that even though fins increase the total contact area
between fluid and solid, but the secondary flow, which appears in the region
between solid fins, blocks heat exchange between cold fluid and hot wall and
results in the decrement of total heat transfer rate.
Simlary, increase in the length of fins enhances the area of secondary flow and
results in lower heat transfer performance.
