Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 建築學系 === 87 === For building industry, labor shortage and low productivity are not temporary problems at the construction site. Instead, this phenomenon hit the basic demand of quality building for construction industry. In order to balance labor shortage and improve field management, many construction projects are more industrialized and laborsaving orientated. Due to poor interaction between design and construction, these projects suffer many problems such as the discrepancy of drawings、bad constructibility without respecting to their site condition, and the most important issue, short in the integration of design and construction. It is the most important objective to integrate design and construction of achieving best efficiency and quality for building construction. This study is taking “Taiwan Cement Corporation R & D Laboratory at Taoyuan” which is completed in Feb. 1997 as a case study. In this project, the early involvement and integration between designer and constructor result in a better constructibility and construction production. There for, architect can take his design in a very tectonic approach, constructor can enhance their efficiency during constructing process, and eventually the client get a quality building. The all-win situation will be achieved only by this approach of integrating all major parties through out all building delivery process. This research will be focused on the delivery process in order to study the way of getting all involved parties integrated, and to connect all profession practice in unity. By studying an actually applied case, we can not only discover the best approach of integrating design and construction but also the appropriate construction methods. And then we can provide these applications to building industry as a reference for up and down stream parties who involved in building delivery process. These major reference include the following issues: 1. The integration process between design and construction; 2. Construction method analysis; 3. Adaptive construction technologies integration. By using diagrams and charts, we can not only define the role and responsibility while integrating designer and constructor but also reasonable procedures during the overlap practice area. Construction method analysis will be focused on its developing background、evaluation process and design methods. Adaptive construction technologies integration will be studied in construction planning、operation research、site layout、construction component production planning and up-lift operation planning. The conclusions of this research are neither the only nor the best way of achieving the objectives. Instead, we propose a workable and appropriate way which adapt to site condition、project constraint and available resource for others as an example.
