Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 物理學系 === 87 === By molecular bean epitaxy (MBE),this author has prepared high-quality Co/Pt multilayers. In order to find the best conditions for crystal structure and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of Co/Pt multilayers,several growth parameters have been studied : 1.Different substrate (Al2O3(11-20) and Si(100)). 2.Different Pt layer thickness (from 4A to 12A). 3.Different seeding layer thickness (from 0A to 500A). Reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) have been employed to study the epitaxial relations and structure. Polar magneto-optical kerr effect (PMOKE) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) have been used to investigate the magneto-optical properties. It was observed that the single-crystal fcc(111) structure of the Co/Pt MLs is better then the poly-crystal structure. The (111) crystal structure and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy improve with the increasing of Pt seeding layer thickness up to 200A. In addition,the best magneto-optical properties were obtained for Pt layer thickness of about 6A-10A .
