The catalyst was prepared by chelated metal ions onto polymer support which was glycidyl methacrylate-styrene — acrylnitrile copolymer with containing iminodiacetic acid chelate group. The catalyst wascharacterized by means of EA, IR, BET, ICP-MASS and SEM studies. The reaction products were characterized by HPLC, GC-MASS, H1NMR. Based on the analysis of experimental kinetic data , a possibile reaction mechanism was proposed. The apparent activation energy for the oxidation was calculated to be 10.7 kcal/mole and the rate expression was: ri= -d[Cumene] / dt = k〔Cumene〕1.0〔(P)-Co(II)〕0.5 It was found that the solubility of oxygen in the reacting medium and the composition of support were critical on the selectivity of cumene hydroperoxide. The yield and selectivity of perbenzoic acid on the oxidation of benzaldehyde in the presence of the catalyst were 68.9% and 69.1% , respectively . Both results were better than other types of catalyst. In addition, it was found that water promoted the formation of perbenzoic acid. This phenomena illustrates that the present catalyst is a chelated catalyst. 陳志勇 1999 學位論文 ; thesis 91 zh-TW
