Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 農業機械工程學系 === 87 === The objective of this research is to determine the surface area and volume of fruits by using active vision. An image processing system, a laser line projector, and a rotating table driven by a stepping motor were used in this study. Three coordinate systems were defined, namely: the world coordinate system, the camera coordinate system, and the image plane coordinate system. Prior to conducting the experiments, the camera and the laser light plane had to be calibrated. Then, the 3-D position values of the surface points of the fruits could be determined. These 3-D values were utilized to calculate the surface area and volume of fruits and to reconstruct the surface of the samples. The average measuring errors of a wooden sample were 16.39﹪and 11.35﹪for the surface and volume, respectively. While for oranges, the errors were 2.20﹪and 3.02﹪,for wax apples the errors were 3.83﹪and 9.58﹪, respectively.
