The announcement of the strategy intended to build a competitive advantage of U.S. Global Electronic Commerce industry. During the past few years, the U.S. economy has performed beyond most expectations. IT industries have been growing at more than double the rate of the overall economy-a trend that is likely to continue. Their success could been learned by Taiwan.
In this study, consider Electronic Commerce been a industry and links it to Porter''s framework-the diamond''s five attributes:Factor endowments, Demand conditions, Related and supporting industries, Strategy, structure, and rivalry, Government. From U.S. success case studies, find their key of success factors for these five attributes.Compare with our condition, then constructed seven proposition.
By the results of this study, Electronic Commerce industry will become a most important IT industries of Taiwan for the future. Private sectors and governments need to development Electronic Commerce and used it well. Electronic Commerce changes the relative costs and factors of production. By giving easier access to more information, by providing crucial data, providing it on time, by making it possible to have far more complicated calculations, using far more complicated software to apply to problems using the ability for computing to do mush deeper analysis at very low cost. Firms could used EDI、QR、ECR、ERP、XML、EPOS、VMI Electronic Commerce system to build their competitive advantage.
Taiwan could been built become a virtual state of U.S. My suggestions: GII, Asia air center, Government E-Commerce system, Commerce driven education, Credit card wide used, Economies of scale, Taxation system.
