The compost manufacture from animal wastes, which contain rich plant nutrients and organic carbon. Application those manure to field is increasing soil organic matter and supporting crop growth. Large amounts of swine manure continual applied to the crop field, salt and heavy metal may be accumulate in soil, and induce degradation of soil quality. How to balance those advantage and disadvantage when manure apply to the filed, we want from soil properties to find the indicator of soil loading rates and to establish the method of soil management. The three experimental fields are located at Tounan and Yichu experiment station of TDAIS, and TLRI, Hsinhua, Tainan. The fields involved nine treatments, with the combinations of four fertilizers (chemical nitrogen, chichen, swine and cow manure) and two levels of each nitrogen fertilizer, and blank without nitrogen fertilizer. Each treatment had three replication, RCBD design. Soil samples were taken during crop growth stage and after the harvest of crops for measurement chemical property, microbial population and activity of the surface soil. The soil respiration and denitrification and N2O emission in field were estimated from gas samples using the soil column technique. The results of field experiment showed that these factors were associated with each other. However, the amount of CO2 emission and biomass were much associated with the amount of N2O emission than other factors. The results of incubation showed that not only the amount of soil N2O emission was essentially contributed by denitrification but the different composts also effected the amount of N2O emission Chao, Chen-Ching 趙 震 慶 1999 學位論文 ; thesis 95 zh-TW
