Summary: | 碩士 === 高雄醫學院 === 行為科學研究所 === 87 === Parkinson''s disease is a common chronic neurological degenerative disease. It is characterized by slow motion, tremor, rigidity and unstable gait. Therefore, it is important to improve the gait of Parkinsonian patients in order to have an independent life. The purpose of this study is thus to examine the effect of using different type of sensory cue on the performance of gait in Parkinsonian patients. It is found the step length in Parkinsonian patients is significantly shorter than the control group, whereas the step frequency is not significantly reduced. And the gait of Parkinsonian patients is less improved than conditioning patient group, the other groups which includes total visual cue, explicit cue and implicit cue patient groups. It is also found that the improvement of the step length of Parkinsonian patients is significant and can last a period of time. The present findings may be used to prevent the falling down of Parkinsonian patients and to delay the immobilization syndrome in Parkinsonian patients.
