Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 電子工程學系 === 87 === The behavior of infant (includes premature newborns) is a very important information for evaluating their physiological conditions. As infants can not show their feeling by speech, the meanings of their behaviors become very important. Usually, we can also use the behaviors of infant as an index to evaluate their growth condition. What is the term “Infant Behaviors”. We define it as “The mechanical vibration of infant’s body, such as chest movement caused by breathing, body surface vibration caused by hard pumping, limb swing, and other vibration caused by crying, coughing, sneezing, asthma, shivering, spasms, stomach peristalsis, excreting etc.”. The goal of this project is to design a system, which can measure the above infant behavior. Currently we use a Phase Shift Ultrasound Array System to measure infant behavior. This system is suitable for measuring the infant’s large body movement, especially the breathing behavior. But this system is not accurate enough for those behaviors with small vibration amplitude. Such as hard pumping, stomach peristalsis, excreting etc. In this project we introduce a vibration-sensing pad use a sensor to measure the tiny vibration generated by the infant’s body. This method combine with the Ultrasound method becomes a high accurate infant behaviors measurement system.
