Study and Analysis of a slim type CD-ROM Spindle Motor with Axial-winding and Radial-gap

碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 物理學系 === 87 === Up to date, most spindle motors used in CD-ROM are the three-phase DC brushless motors with nine slots and twelve poles. However, due to the special sandwich structure of a single-phase DC brushless motor, its whole configuration thus becomes either thinner or lighter...

However, due to the special sandwich structure of a single-phase DC brushless motor, its whole configuration thus becomes either thinner or lighter. Therefore it is very suitably used as a CD-ROM spindle motor. In addition, this kind of motor owns advantages of low cost and ease for fabrication. In this research, the effects of the base plate materials on single-phase spindle motors are investigated. A 3D FEM model is built in “Magnet5.2” software to analyze the motor. Experiments are also conducted to validate the simulation. The non-magnetic base plate with arc-shaping technique is proved to reduce the cogging torque, moreover, the shaft material has no significant influence on the motor performance. The difference between the simulation and experiments is also discussed. 劉宗平 吳坤東 黃得瑞 1999 學位論文 ; thesis 89 zh-TW
