In order to solve the problems, we have to understand the idea of "Job-Residence Balance" to be efficient in making use of the resource. The idea of Job-Residence Balance means that in a certain range of space, the distance between the residence and the work place is reasonable and the supply of residence can meet the need of the resident. This research is trying to discuss the types of space of the commuting in Taiwan in the two divisions of city and living Perimeters and find the factors affecting the Job-Residence Balance and Job-Residence Index with regression analysis to be the reference of the territory plan in the future. According to the study the times of commuting in the divisions of city is higher than that in the division of Living Perimeters. The factors that affect the Job-Residence Index are the price of the real estate, the proportion of the second and the third Industry is the most obvious. The factors that affect "Job-Residence Balance" are the rate of employment, the density of residence, the proportion of the second and the third industry, the proportion of the population 65 upper, the proportion of the population between 0 and 14, the price of the real estate and the analysis of the environment. key word: Job-Residence Balance Job-Residence Index Living Perimeters
