Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 工業工程學系 === 87 === The purpose of this research is to develop an approach for the production line of electronic assembly plants for solving assembly line balancing problems. The objective of the approach is to maximize the throughput of the production line. The approach is divided into two stages. In the first stage, mathematical programming formulation is presented before a heuristic is developed, and an optimal workstation cycle time of the production line is obtained by using the mathematical program or heuristic. In the second stage, a visual interactive modeling system, Witness, is used to build simulation models, and a number of simulation experiments are performed to investigate the effects of burn-in house capacity and pallet quantity on throughput of the system. A case study using the approach is demonstrated. Results suggest that the throughput are significantly enhanced by the proposed approach.
