The research is to design and implement a ECG recorder using the technology of VHDL、FPGA and flash memory. The power supply was chosen ±5V for analog circuit and +5V for digital system. The sampling rate is 125Hz and resolution is 16-bit.There are four systems in the prototype. One is ECG amplifying and processing system. Second is analog/digital system. Third is recording system. Fourth is read-back system. The digital circuit was designed by using VHDL and implemented by FPGA. The model of flash memory is MX29F1610. The read-back interface transfers ECG data to PC via parallel interface.The prototype has recorded ECG from human project. Comparing with the recorder of ITRI, the quality of both are the same.The prototype has reached to the target of this research. However, power supply、digital system and read-back system can be improved. Power can be decrease if it is set to 3V.
