The potential advantage of hybrid elements, which with high diffraction efficiency and various of the design parameters, make it become a powerful technique today.
The precision in manufacturing of the diffractive profile is curcial required, since the efficiency will be reduced with the manufacturing errors. Therefore, the error analysis, as well as design, is discussed in this paper.
At last, a single diffractive element is designed and used to replace the traditional laser disk lens. The image qualities of this diffractive element are better than the traditional one. In the future, the diffractive element could be widely used in some other optical system.
