The fixed-ratio traffic signals control system can''t handle the traffic congestion well, and the traffic police direction has the drawback of heavy workload. On dealing with this problem, previous literatures just study for simple junctions and have the difficulty for implementation. This thesis combines fuzzy logic and genetic algorithm for the crossroad traffic signals control. Besides, the proposed vehicle flow simulation environment with one sensor vehicle-flow grabbing method makes our method practically.
