Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 管理學研究所 === 87 === The objective of this study is to examine the lifestyle and characteristics of people participating in self-paid physical examinations. In the analyses we identify users and nonusers of self-paid physical examinations, then offer marketing strategies for potential service providers.
The study was conducted through self-report questionnaires. Factor, cluster, and discriminant analyses are used to extract the lifestyle factors, then divide the respondents into proper clusters. Further investigations are performed on the discriminability of the lifestyle factors and other characteristics across users and nonusers of self-paid physical examinations.
Results suggest that users of self-paid physical examinations show positive aptitude in three of the lifestyle factors. Other characteristics include being forty years or older, and being male. The discriminating rate is 81.3%. It indicates that variables used in our analyses are significant in distinguishing between users and nonusers. The study proposes corresponding strategies according to user groups of different lifestyle and characteristics.
