Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 應用地球物理研究所 === 87 === The potential application of the fractional (or angular) Fourier transform (FRFT) is investigated for seismic data processing. The main function of the FRFT is to twist the energy distribution by rotation to an axis where it is easily analyzed. This useful function provides us to reconsider the possibility of solving old problem. In this study, we first introduce the fundamental characteristics of the FRFT, and then use the 2-dimensional FRFT to perform velocity filtering for synthetic data. The traditional velocity filtering encounter a difficulty of unseparable events in the frequency-wavenumber domains, for example, multiple reflections. This study illustrates how implementing the FRFT can lead to a significant improvement in this problem.
