Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 87 === Research on Negotiation Support Systems (NSS) rarely aims at multi-negotiators. This paper reports on a study that examined the impacts of active system intervention function of NSS, which provide negotiators suggestions during the negotiation process concerning coalition formation in a five-person game scenario. NSS with active intervention function provide information that helps negotiators analyze their own preferences and supply each negotiator with an appropriate negotiation strategy. It was found that when negotiators use the NSS with active intervention function, the bargaining outcome has higher chance to fall in the Pareto-Optimal situation than NSS without active intervention function.
Negotiators who received suggestions in general were more cooperative, considerate, and less suspicious. They had higher negotiation outcome satisfaction, generated better negotiation climate and spent less time in reaching agreement. In sum, the active system intervention function resulted in significant benefits to the negotiators.
