Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 化學研究所 === 87 === Semiconductor nanocrystals have been intensively studied recently because of their unique size-dependent properties. In this thesis, we present a simple method to fabricate self-assembled nanocrystal patterns with different color light emissions. We have used the patterns of self-assembling monolayers (SAMs) on gold as a template. The nanocrystals arrays on each regions of SAMs were organized spontaneously by different interactions between specific size nanocrystals and specific SAMs on gold surface. Scanning electron microscopy , atomic force microscopy, and optical microscopy were used to characterize the resulting nanocrystal patterns. The result shows that the nanocrystals can be assembled into large monolayer of micrometer-scale features. Our method provides a new way to assemble semiconductor nanocrystals and it should be very useful in the future for the fabrication of optical and electronic devices composed of nanocrystals.
