Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 電資與資訊工程研究所 === 86 === Since the Information Supplier has to offer rapidly growing amount of information and services, users encounter difficulties in finding the desired data in the flood of information. How to let users having a satisfied information service and an easy-operating information system has become the problem between users and Information Supplier. This thesis proposed a self-directed learning method for on-line learning User Preferences based on WWW and an adaptive personality information service(APIS) architecture based on Intelligent Agent Technology to construct an APIS system easily. Our main idea is that without offering users preferred documents or information directly, we let them making their own choice on an information topic; the service system will then offering the sub topic repeatedly which matching the user preferences. The key-point of the learning method is to study the user-interested information topics, showing on the most obvious position on the screen in order for easy-clicking through adaptive personality interface. In addition to user-satisfied information services, the proposed learning method has implicit benefits that can avoid wasting network resources and reducing network traffic.
