Through this combination procedure, the analysis time can be reduced and the analysis procedures can be automated too. The conventional optimum method is based on continuous space, while the practical engineering problems might be in discrete space. Taguchi method can be used around the neighbor of the optimum values to find the robust value in discrete space. The pressure vessel design was demonstrated to show the practical application of this method.
