After deregulation, the pricing of transmission services will become a major concern. The wheeling cost includes the fixed cost and the variable cost. The allocation methodologies for the fixed cost are more and less contentious; by contrast, the allocation of the variable cost is more difficult because it is a nonlinear function. Hence, this thesis will pay particular attention to put forward several solutions for system loss allocation─including allocation in sequence of wheeling transaction as well as magnitude, wheeling current square, summing up arrangements, and deviation─on the basis of fairness, reasonableness, and simplicity. Finally, in order to justify the proposed method, the peak load data of Taipower system will be applied to compute loss allocation of various distances, directions, and locations in this thesis.
