Summary: | 碩士 === 大同工學院 === 電機工程研究所 === 86 === In recent years, the power industry has been reformed for liberalization in many countries, which is to deregulate the vertically integrated power companies and to establish the mechanism of competition. The main topics of liberalization are to introduce the competition into generation sector and the open access into transmission sector. In the competitive power market, the power transaction may be accomplished through the bidding system in the power exchange or bilateral contract. In the future, under transmission open access, the IPPs (Independent Power Producers) will have more and more chances to contract with energy consumers and local distribution companies directly. If the generation units of an IPP are with different locations, fuels, and efficiency, the economic dispatch will be an important issue. This new economic dispatch strategy of the IPPs is different from the traditional method. The major difference between them is that the traditional economic dispatch considers the system losses as the Penalty Factor, whereas the new strategy of the IPPs takes the wheeling charges into account. Moreover, the applicable units are limited within the IPP*s generation units. There are many methods to calculate wheeling charges, but in this thesis the modified megawatt miles method will be adopted. That is, the current decomposition method is applied to allocate every transmission facility cost. With the consideration of the influences caused by both real power and reactive power, this method reflects the "extent of use" of transmission capacity more exactly. Then, the wheeling cost is associated with unit incremental fuel costs to find out the dispatch scheme, which is the oFinally, in order to justify the proposed method, the peak load period data of Taiwan Power System will be applied to simulate in this thesis.
