Summary: | 碩士 === 大同工學院 === 資訊工程研究所 === 86 === The development of human computer interface has been greatly improved with the rapid progress of VR (Virtual Reality) technology. By attaching sensors on the object, the computer can promptly and accurately track its configuration in three space. This thesis discusses a particular application using these tracking devices in geometry design.Combining the superior VR interface of technology, the CAGD (Computer Aided Geometry Design) systems upgrade from the traditional two dimensional design interface into a new three dimensional designing system. This direct designing interface facilitates more intuitive and productive design methods for creating three dimensional geometry.Typically, magnetic and mechanical trackers are used in practice. The problems of inaccuracy (due to magnetic interference) and work range limitation are often noted. This research proposes a new tracking interface using the stereopsis to solve these problems. Several shape design methods as also implemented to validate the effectuation of this interface. Other issues such as the costand the accuracy of this interface are also discussed.
