Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同工學院 === 材料工程研究所 === 86 === Nowadays, sealing glass used in industry contains large amount of lead, which is harmful to both human body and our living environment. Besides, since environment regulations turn out to be severe gradually, it is urgently necessary to look for non-lead low-temperature sealing material to replace the materials used now. There is a trend in low-temperature sealing material that phosphate glasses have been considered to be new material in substitution. In this study, therefore, phosphate glasses were chosen as main material, and the effect of metal element addition on properties was investigated in order to improve chemical durability without affecting it overall properties. The results indicate that addition of alkali earth metal results in raise of glass transition of temperature, decrease of thermal expansion coefficient, and obvious increase of resistance. Since transition element have multiple valence configurations, it seems to exert complicated influence on properties of glass. In general, the addition of transition elements shows better results than alkali earth elements. Also, Fe-glass shows better corrosion resistance.
