This thesis analysis the influence of interest groups in Britain, a central aspect of British political process, which both offers enough material to provide some detailed information to complement the general accounts of group activity on British politics, and also gives a sufficiently wide selection of items to indicate the nature of activity of British pressure groups. To be one of the greatest interest groups in Britain, trade unions are organizations founded by working people to protect and enhance their working conditions through collective action, notably collective bargaining (unions representing the interests of working people to their employers with whom they enter into agreements on their behalf, and political action (unions acting as an interest group and as an ally of a political party competing for government office so as to influence public policy). The content has five chapters besides the first chapter introduction the summary is as the following:the second chapter deals with the definition and rising background of the interest groups; the third chapter focuses on how interest groups approach participating the political process in Britain; the fourth chapter deals with the relationships between interest groups and parties- for example the interactions of Trade Unions and Labour Party. How Government resticting the interest groups'' unlawful activities by laws are introduced in the fifth chapter; Chapter Six deals with the conclusion, contents, and effects of the role of interest groups. This thesis is a research of the interest group''s role in political process in Britain, and I wish this summary of Britain experience may be a reference when our country amends related laws.
