Furthermore, the findings is intented to provide some suggestion to improve the performance of the system and library service in order to meet the users'' needs. The 100 sampling interviewees of the survey, 20 of which are librarians, 80 of which are readers, are selected from the four National Universities(NTU, NCCU, NTNU, YM)in the Northern area. The research is conducted by the methods of interviewing and questionnaire, revealing that most of the interviewees think the OPAC system positively for its being convenient, easy to use and effieient. The key satisfaction factors are summarized as below:1.Access Point:(1)"Title": easy to use; (2)"Author": easy to use; (3)"Author/ Title Search" : limit the scope of retrieving and recall precisely; (4)"Subject": retrieve the relevant information to users'' research; (5)"Keywords": simple to learn; (6)"Call Number": accuracy of retrieving result; (7)"Others": speedy. 2."Repeat Previous Search": time saving without repeating key in.3."View Your Own Circulation Record": convenient by providing personal profile.4."Connect to Another Databases ": convenient and time saving.5."Reserve List": definite result of searching. 6."Library Information": Keep up date with current news and information of library. 7."Z39.50 Broadcasting": convenient to access multiple databases simultaneously at real time. Suggestions:1.Improve the design of indexing.2.Better the user''s guide.3.Enhance the function of on-line help.4.Upgrade hardware equipment. 5.Perfect the accuracy of item records. 6.Strengthen communication channel with end users.
