博士 === 東吳大學 === 經濟學研究所 === 86 === This dissertation is from the macro viewpoints combining politics and economics to investigate Taiwan''s first phase of land reform on the political-and-economic structure change. According to the political and economic background in Taiwan after World War Two, the policy of land reform chosen by the government would be accurate and effective. At that time, the government intervened in the land reform forcely and autonomously, which not only increased the agricultural products and promoted the industrial development in the economic side, but also weakened the landlords'' influence on the village in the political side. To a certain extent, the government won the support from farmers. The land reform is an important factor which has great impact on the political and economic structure. These were some changes in the political and economic structures after the land reform. Some specific methods are used as follows, Chow test、 Dummy variable test、CUSUMSQ test. The regression analysis is still applied to separate the contribution of land、labor、capital and land reform in the intra-agricultural sector, and to find the influential factors of land productivity and labor productivity. While these was merely the land rent reduction rather than land-to-the -tiller policy in Taiwan, the former policy will be late around 63 years than the latter policy to solve the legal land tenancy. It can prove that the land reform could repress the super-inflation in 1950s. Besides, it can prove that the land reform had another goal of increasing public finance. After the land reform, the government converted the freezing land fund into the industrial fund of the Four Big Companies. How did the Four Big Companies run after the land reform? Does it have any bad effects in the agricultural development? These are the focus of this dissertation.
