Berlin claims that any kinds of teleology may become monism,and then oppress individual.Berlin concludes that utopia is this kind of Weltanschauung.Berlin against positive ways of talking about liberty.So he supports negative liberty. Berlin also supports individuals and communities to seek sense of belonging.This claim also evokes nationalism and national independence.Berlin doesn't worry about nationalism in early years,but he becomes worry about aggressive nationalism in latter years.But he doesn't carefully analysis the contradict between negative liberty and sense of belonging.
