This thesis takes the presidential candidate Chen Liu-An''s "Travel on Feet for Blessings of the Whole Countrymen"(TFBWC) Campaign activity durinng the Year1996 Taiwan Presidential Election as a case study. The purposes of thistheis want to find how the candidate and his campaign managers approach a campaign activity to attract the media to report; how the media report this cam-paign activity and how the relationship between the candidate and the journalistsduring the election. This thesis uses multiple research methods to collect the data. These research methods include in-depth survey,and content analysis. The first step is to study the clips to know the background of the TFBWC Cam-paign activity. The second step is to do the newspaper content analysis. The last step is to interview the campaign managers of the TFBWC and the candidate. The finding of this study invides three parts. The first part discusses the the plan and execution of the TWBWC. The second part analyze the content of of the TFBWC''s reportings of the four main newspaper. The last part is to discuss how the relationship between the candidate and the journalists of the newspapers to have influence on the reportings of the TFBWC.
