碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 建築及都市計畫研究所 === 86 === Due to Taiwan''s geographical superiority, the development of Taiwan architecture after the restoration of Taiwan has influence by plenty of foreign architect. This reality is obviously seen, especially the works made by European, American and Japanese architects after World War Two. The reason for the development of foreign architects in Taiwan is closely related with the changes of Taiwan society. Their works, imply the prevailing trend of thoung and the style in that period, which is also one of the important factor for the influence of Taiwan architecture development. Particularly, in recent years, Taiwan society''s expansion and the intensive international contact urge more foreign architects'' coming to Taiwan. Thus, the work made by international cooperation is increasing and their influence in Taiwan is more apparent as well. Though the investigation, we can analyze how exotic culture influence the development of Taiwan modern architecture and we expect to establish historical image of Taiwan architecture development after the restoration of Taiwan. Moreover, from the viewpoint of internatinal cooperation, we also can learn the trend of Taiwan modern architecture in the future and accumulate localized experience for the foundation of globalization. At last, from the search for the experience of autonomic architecture design andthe viewpoint of accumulation, we can infer five phenomena of Taiwan modern architecture development made by foreign architects after Taiwan''s restoration. We use above mentioned method to penetrate the developing process and search for new perspective of Taiwan architecture in the future.
