Integrated on-chip image sensor array converts optical input to electrical form. Local image intensity derivatives are used to compute the optical flow constraints. The motion cells enforces the optical flow constraints using a negative feedback loop. Non-linear resistive networks are used to provide least mean square error and smoothness constraints to the motion field. In order to preserve object boundaries, the smoothness constraints are adjusted according to discontinuities in the motion field and edges in the image. The chip is fabricated with a 0.5um DPDM CMOS process. Simulation and measurements are presented in the thesis. Chiueh Tzi-Dar 闕志達 --- 1998 學位論文 ; thesis 96 en_US |

碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 電機工程學系研究所 === 86 === In this thesis, we proposed an analog integrated circuit to compute the
motion field from a time-varying image, by means of gradient based
optical flow computation. Integrated on-chip image sensor array
converts optical input to electrical form. Local image intensity
derivatives are used to compute the optical flow constraints. The
motion cells enforces the optical flow constraints using a negative
feedback loop. Non-linear resistive networks are used to provide
least mean square error and smoothness constraints to the motion field.
In order to preserve object boundaries, the smoothness constraints are
adjusted according to discontinuities in the motion field and edges in
the image. The chip is fabricated with a 0.5um DPDM CMOS process.
Simulation and measurements are presented in the thesis.
