First, to improve the indoor environment by isolating the heat, reducing the temperature, and ventilating. In the mean time, by monitoring the water and improving the method of oxygen supply, we develop a computerized supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. Using the monitor and control system developed in this study,a long-term data acquisition was conducted. By analyzing the data, we find out some relationships between eels'' behavior and the water quality can be identified. The information revealed can be very helpful in modifing control strategy and improving the mangement of eel''s culture. Several sensing devices were used to identify the presents of the eel within a specific range. Among all the sensors tested, photo-inducing sensor has the best result. The sensor sends out pulse output signal whenever the presents of the eel was detected. By using this sensor, the exact time to stop feeding. A locally make windows-based process control software was used to develop the user interface of the control system. The user interface developed is easy to use and is capable of retrieving seriodically stored information for on-line or afterward analysis. The software also makes fully use of the capability of the network to allow supervisory control and data aquestion on the indoor environment and the water quality of the aquaculture.
