碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 農業機械工程學系研究所 === 86 === The management of using water resource in southern area of Taiwan in which the rainfall varies extremely with seasons and the geography is now a very important issue. This is because of rapid growth of economic, the regional- developing mode (industry in the south, commerce in the north), and the excessively gathering of high water-consuming industry in southern Taiwan. Until now, integrating and collecting data of water resource are not yet completed enough. This situation causes difficulty in making plans for using water resource, which needs lots of data. To developing a long lasting data base system which can be expanded with ease will be helpful to improve this situation.This research uses the structure based on client-server theory, Internet transmitting and operating environments with which the public are familiar to develop a data base system when opening, stability and convenience of using are taken into consideration. This data base system successfully integrates coverage data of GIS (geographical information system) with observed time-series data.This data base system is capable for providing coverage data of GIS, flow amount observed by hydro- stations, rainfall observed by climate stations and reservoir related data for application of plan for water resource, analysis by models and other research areas.
