Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 86 === In this thesis, a system for 3D reconstruction and
visualization of ultrasound images is proposed. The ultrasound
technique is frequently used in medical imaging because it is
non-invasive, non-radiative, interactive, inexpensive, and suitable
for the localization of vessels and tumors in soft tissue. However,
the ultrasound images have no space information for registration.
In other researches, a mechanical arm or a special rotator is used
to register the ultrasound images for 3D reconstruction. This
situation is not convenient for physicians because they often
operate the transducer of the ultrasound machine in their hands
freely. In our research, we develop a 3D ultrasound system with a
magnetic space tracker to register the ultrasound images. By
attaching the receiver of the space tracker to the transducer, the
physician can operate the transducer by his hand while the
ultrasound images are registered simultaneously. Some experimental
results are also presented in this thesis.
