Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 園藝學系研究所 === 86 === SummaryThere have been some problems in producing Schlumbergera in Taiwan, for example flowering not unifrom, flower bud abcission and the flowering period on the same time. The objectives of this study were to achieve uniform floweri ng and to grow plants with more flower buds, which have longer flower longnevi ty.The optimal temperature for vegetative growth for the cultivars "橘紅" and "紫紅" were between 25~30℃, while the plant quality was the best at day/night temperature of 25/20℃. Plants with good flower quality when they were grown at 20/15℃ in all seasons, but the pot flower quality were better on winter. T he root length of the cutting was longer when propagated in tree fern and tree fern mix than those in peat-lite mix. The phylloclades were increased with fe rtilizer level increased up to a full strength of Johnson's solution. Peat-lit e mix were also shown to have more phylloclades than other media. Flower buds were increased as increased fertilizer concentration. Plants had more apical p hylloclades, number of flower buds per apical phylloclade, and the flowering p ercentage of apical phylloclades under high light level. However, there were n o significant differences in these parameter between under different light lev els. Flower duration was between 46.0~51.8 days and flower longevity were 8.5~ 1.0 days. Plants grown at 20/15℃ in high light phytotron condotions had bette r flowering quality with more flower buds, number of flower buds per apical ph ylloclade, the flowering percentage of apical phyllocladesthan those in PC sha ding greenhouse conditions. SummaryThe flowering time of Plumbago auriculata w as between April to Decomber in natural conditions in Taiwan. The rooting perce ntage was up to 80% between February to November on year-round cutting, but w as lower on Decomber and January. The optimum temperatures for rooting was bet ween 25~30℃. Better quality and greater rooting percentagewere shown in cutti ngs treated with IBA 2000 ppm. Plants grew faster in 25~35℃and slower in low temperature conditions. The internode length was shorter by using paclobutrazo l 50 ppm and thus reduced plant height. More infloresences were recorded in pl ants on Southen side balcony while the flowering quality was also good on othe r sides, suggesting that the plants could adapt a wide range of light levels.
