The experiment results show that salt spray and mechanical abrasion did cause visual symptoms. Mechanical abrasion and salt spray increased damaged leaf area and leaf-fall in all six species. Increasing the concentration of salt spray, the damaged leaf area would increase, and the six species responded differently. Mechanical abrasion and salt spray did not significantly increase the content of Na+, Cl- and proline of Garcinia subelliptica within four days. The content of Na+ of Cyclobalanopsis glauca increased significantly within four days but the proline content did not. After mechanical abrasion and salt spray, Na+ and Cl- contents of Palaquium obovata increased with time. The proline content of Palaquium obovata was significantly increased by salt spray, but there was not a significant difference among different numbers of spray. Mechcanical abrasion and salt spray did not affect K+ and Ca2+of plants in this study. Na+ and Cl- did not retranslocate form leaves to stems or roots. In this study, the contents of Na+ and Cl- were significantly correlated. There was a significant correlation between Na+ and proline and between Cl- and proline. According to the experiment result, salt spray after mechanical abrasion did enhance the damage to these tree species. There was a significant interaction between mechanical abrasion and salt spray. But only leaves were damaged by the treatments. Kuo Shing-Rong 郭幸榮 --- 1998 學位論文 ; thesis 65 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 森林學系研究所 === 86 === The objectives of this study were to investigate the damage of salt
spray and mechanical abrasion to six native broad-leaved species of
Taiwan, and whether increasing the number of spray would enhance the
damage. The experiment results show that salt spray and mechanical
abrasion did cause visual symptoms. Mechanical abrasion and salt
spray increased damaged leaf area and leaf-fall in all six species.
Increasing the concentration of salt spray, the damaged leaf area
would increase, and the six species responded differently. Mechanical
abrasion and salt spray did not significantly increase the content of
Na+, Cl- and proline of Garcinia subelliptica within four days. The
content of Na+ of Cyclobalanopsis glauca increased significantly
within four days but the proline content did not. After mechanical
abrasion and salt spray, Na+ and Cl- contents of Palaquium obovata
increased with time. The proline content of Palaquium obovata was
significantly increased by salt spray, but there was not a significant
difference among different numbers of spray. Mechcanical abrasion and
salt spray did not affect K+ and Ca2+of plants in this study. Na+ and
Cl- did not retranslocate form leaves to stems or roots. In this study,
the contents of Na+ and Cl- were significantly correlated. There was a
significant correlation between Na+ and proline and between Cl- and
proline. According to the experiment result, salt spray after mechanical
abrasion did enhance the damage to these tree species. There was a
significant interaction between mechanical abrasion and salt spray.
But only leaves were damaged by the treatments.
