In antimony catalyst, the results revealed that adding Sb2O3 catalyst before esterification and adding EG after esterification would promote the activity of Sb2O3 catalyst system. Furthermore, it was found that increasing the vacuum in pre-polycondensation would increase the rate of polycondensation. In Sb-Zn cocatalyst system, when the cocatalyst calcined at temperature less than 500℃, their activities were better than that of pure Sb2O3, and the 300℃calcined cocatalyst had the best activity. From the characterization by TGD,TPR and XRD, it was found that Sb2O3 and ZnAc2.2H2O had converted into Sb2O4 and ZnO after calcined at 500℃. And from the TPR,XRD and UV-vis.,it was found that when the calcination temperatures were above 200℃, the interaction and the bonding between Sb and Zn has been established. It was found that when adding Sb2O3/ZnAc2.2H2O、Sb2O3/CoAc2.4H2O、 Sb2O3/SnAc2 cocatalyst before esterification separately, their rates of esterification and polycondensation would be faster than those of pure Sb2O3, and the Sb-Zn cocatalyst had the best activity.
