| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立台南師範學院 === 資訊教育研究所 === 86 === The purposes of the study are creating a Web-based learning system for elementary schools and examing its usability. The framework of the Web-based learning system combines the advantages of current computer network technologies and the traditional face-to-face classroom-based pedagogy.
For the purpose of laying out the framework of the system, a meta-analysis on the field of distance learning is conducted. The system is designed and implemented based on the result of the meta-analysis.
There are two unique features of the system. First of all, the system provides instructional management functions with users learning activities tracking capabilities. Secondly, the system is a computer network learning environment that is integrated with the virtual classroom functionalities. The system is implemented with multi-servers.
A field-test of the system with fourteen pre-selected elementary schools is conducted for the purpose of examing the feasibility. Based on the interivews with the school teachers and the analysis of users learning activities tracking data, the system is a fine learning environment.
