Summary: | 碩士 === 國立台南師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 86 === The purpose of the study was to explore the immediate and long-term effects and case study of a career development group on one-parental junior school students.
The 16 subjects of this study were selected for Chung-Ming junior school in Taiwan. They were random assigned to two groups:an experimental group and a control group. 8 subjects in every group. An experimental group was treated with 8 sessions of intervention, once a week, 90 minutes for each session, The control group did not receive any treatment.
An equivalent posttest control group was used. Sex and experiment treatment as independent variables. Instruments for measuring the effects included Occupational Self-Concept Questionnaire, Occupational attitude Questionnaire. The questionnaire of posttest scores and follow-up test scores were dependent variables. Thedate was analyzed by two-way analysis of variance, and posttest scares were covariate, analyzed by two-way anlysis of covariance. Furthermore, subject''s responses on reaction questionnaire, reaction process was being recording ,individual test scores and individual interview date were also collected for case study and comparing to test the effects on occupational self-concept and career maturity attitude of experimental group.
The results of this study were sisted as follows:
1.There was no significant interaction effect on occupational self-concept and career maturity attitude between experiment treatment and sex.
2.There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. and between male and female junior school stdents in occupational self-concept and career maturity attitude.
3.After eight-week follow up indicated that there was no significant difference betwwen the experimental group and the control group in occupational self-concept.
4.After eight-week follow up indicated that there was no significant interaction effect on occupational self-concept .and career maturity attitude between experiment treatment and sex.
5.After eight-week follow up indicated that there was significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in career matuity attitude.
6.After eight-week follow up indicated that there was no significant difference betwwen male and female junior school students in occupational self-concept and career maturity attitude.
7.From quality analysis, Career Development Group has been shown to positive effects on one-parental junior school student''s occupational self-concept and career maturity attitude, Most of the subjects of experimental group reported they come from same background ,so easy to express self feeling on parental divorce and the influence on career development.
Finally, based on the findings of this stdy, several suggestions for guidance and further reseazrch are selecte dand discuessed.
