In 1991, Iglesias and Glover derived the state-space soliutions to a discrete-time H∞ problem. The approach taken is based on the solution of two parametrized, with parameter γ, algebraic Riccati equations using the stable deflating subspace of a parametrized symplectic pencil. We explore numerical methods to find the infimum of parameter γ that solves the state feedback case first, then extend the technique to the general output feedback problem.
