How do internal resources of companies influence the construction investment industry to adopt diversified strategic choices?3. Do characteristics of high-ranking managers influence the construction investment industry to adopt diversified strategic choices.4. The relationship between diversified strategic choices and strategic alliances adopted by the construction investment industry.Study Findings:1. Industrial characteristics, company resources, and characteristics of high-ranking managers influence the Industry by the means of vertical integration: Industrial characteristics have the greatest and the most pervasive influences. In terms of company resources, the Industry puts emphasis on companies* transfer ability and comprehensive efficiency. The flexibility of company resources is not concerned a great deal. With regard to characteristics of high-ranking managers, the Industry generally believes that the ambitions and experiences of high- ranking managers play an important part. 2. Industrial characteristics, company resources, and characteristics of high-ranking managers influence the Industry by the means of related diversified choices: Characteristics of high-ranking managers have overall influences, with the fact that the ambitions and experiences of high-ranking managers have more outstanding impact. With regard to company resources, the situation is similar to that of the first point. 3. Industrial characteristics, company resources, and characteristics of high-ranking managers influence the Industry by non-related diversified choices: Industrial characteristics and company resources do not have many influences. In terms of the characteristics of high-ranking managers, they have overall influences with emphasis on the ambitions of high-ranking managers. 4. Industrial characteristics, company resources and characteristics of high-ranking managers influence the Industry by the means of replacing diversified choices with strategic alliances: Industrial characteristics have the greatest and overall influences, even including capital intensity which has little influence in terms of diversified choices mentioned to the above. For company resources, the transfer ability of companies is concerned the most. With regard to characteristics of high-ranking managers, the ambitions and experiences of high-ranking managers have greater influences. 5. In order to gain profits securely, the Industry is doing its utmost to think directions for re-adjustment. As long as it is beneficial for companies to breakthrough the current situation and create competitive advantage.
