Moreover, asglobalizational operations increase, so does the emphasis on the adaptabili-ty outside the home country for expatriate managers. From the viewpoint of Taiwan managers assigned to Mainland china, this study attempts to examinewhat factors may affect the job satisfaction of expatriate managers and therelationship between those factors and overseas adaptations. In this study, we use individual factors (individual characteristics and motivations behind being expatriate) and organizational factors (expat-riate characteristics and policies of control & support) as independent va-riables, overseas adaptations (living adaptations and work adaptations) as intermediate variables, and job satisfaction (intrinsic and extrinsic satis-faction) as dependent variables. Gathering the data from 100 Taiwanese expa-triate managers in such areas in Mainland China as Beijeng, Tienching, Shan-ghai, Chiangsu, Kuangtung, and Shenjeng, ect., we use descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, canonical correlation, and step-wise regression to analyze the data. The results indicates that:1.Work adapations is better than living adaptations; intrinsic satisfaction is higher than extrinsic satisfaction; as for motivations for being expat- riate, intrinsic rewards Kao Charng 高 長 1998 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW |
